Flexible Itinerary

The itinerary is designed to adapt to weather and emerging opportunities, although November typically enjoys dry, pleasant days and cooler evenings.

The tour is a combination walking tour with subways, trains or buses to get us to areas of interest. The pace is casual with 5 to 7 kms or 3 to 5 miles walked each day and participants should have a fitness level to walk 1 to 2 kms before requiring a rest stop.

Participants will stay in the Ginza district, a central location providing easy access to renowned destinations such as:

·        Ginza shopping district

·        Imperial Palace and Hamarikyu Gardens

·        Tsukiji Fish Market

·        Tokyo International Forum and Shiodome architecture

·        Tokyo Train Station and surrounds

Excursions also include the dynamic Shibuya and Harajuku neighborhoods, Yoyogi Park, and the Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine. Seasonal highlights may feature Japanese weddings in traditional attire, street photography on car-free Ginza Avenue during weekends, and evening photo walks in Ginza and Shimbashi's lively backstreets.
